Moon calendar or lunar calendar?

A Moon calendar shows the Moon's phase against ordinary dates, as this page does, and "lunar calendar" is the everyday name for the same thing. A lunar calendar in the strict sense counts months by the Moon itself, as the Islamic calendar does. A lunisolar calendar, such as the Chinese or Hebrew, adds leap months to stay in step with the seasons. The daily phase and percentage here describe the Moon at 12:00 local time; see Moon phases for waxing and waning.
